Our Destination:

Malawi is known as "The Warm Heart of Africa".  So named because of the warm and welcoming nature of its residents.  We can attest already as we met the Water Mission in-country coordinator Nixon Sinyiza and his wife in Charleston this Spring and are looking forward to Nixon introducing us to his country.

It's a narrow land-locked country between Zambia, Tanzania and Mozambique.

Our visit will include two villages near the coast of Lake Malawi.  Salima, just a few hours west of the capital city of Lilongwe.  Liwaladzi approximately three hours north of Salima.

The official languages in Malawi are Chewa and English.
